Toledo Mining Corporation PLC said heavy rainfall caused by two typhoons in late Sept/early Oct has caused a two week delay to the trial bulk metallurgical sample at its Berong nickel project.
The sample was expected to be extracted in mid-October with shipment to customers in China in late October or November.
Commercial operations are now expected to commence in November/December and are dependent upon attaining the necessary final approvals from the Philippine Government.
The company said the project report on planned operations is being prepared to get approval for obtaining the commercial Mineral Production Sharing Agreement.
