Canadian Mining Firm Reports Encouraging Results In Gold And Silver Drillings In The Philippines

Manila, Philippines (AHN) - Canadian mining firm TVI Pacific Inc. said its Philippine affiliate had received “further positive” assay results from ongoing exploration drillings in the Balabag gold and silver prospecting area of Zamboanga del Sur.
Drillings are being made on the Tinago-Miswi-Lalab vein system, 47 miles from TVI Resource Development (Philippines) Inc.’s Canatuan mine in Zamboanga del Norte, which is already producing gold and silver.
In a statement, the company said the drilling program was designed to determine the boundaries of the gold vein system as well as the consistency and continuity of reported mineral values.
Clifford M. James, TVI president and chief executive, said a preliminary scoping study aimed at assessing the Tinago-Miswi-Lalab mineralized zone was underway and was expected to be completed in the second half of 2007.
