OceanaGold Corporation Ltd has rejected claims made by Oxfam Australia that it pressured Filipino villagers to accept a proposed gold and copper mine, and said it is considering “legal redress”.
OceanaGold said it had received a copy of Oxfam’s report on its proposed Didipio Gold and Copper project in the Philippines on Friday.

Canadian mining firm Olympus Pacific Minerals Inc. has completed due diligence of its Capcapo Project in the Baguio-Mankayan Gold district, its Philippine partner said.
The Baguio-Mankayan mine is said to have 60 million ounces in historic production and current resources.
