OceanaGold Appoints New Member to Board of Directors

MELBOURNE, Australia, Dec. 10 /CNW/ - OceanaGold Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose (Joey) P. Leviste Jr. to the Board of Directors effective immediately.
Joey is currently the Chairman of its wholly-owned subsidiary company in the Philippines, OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc. and has been a Director of the Philippines company since OceanaGold’s merger with Climax Mining in 2006. He was also a Director of the Climax Mining predecessor Filipino subsidiary. Previously, Joey held the position of Chairman, President and CEO of Mirant Asia Philippines Corporation, a subsidiary of U.S. based power generation company, Mirant Corporation.
