30 OSYs, 23 teachers in Nueva Vizcaya benefit from mining firm

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (February 11) — At least 30 out-of–school youths (OSYs) and 23 teachers have benefited from the assistance of a British-owned mining company in barangay Runruno here.

Dr. Ernie Mendoza, MTL Philippines, Inc. Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs said the 30 former OSYs are now employed as accredited welders at the Hanjin Shipping Company in Subic City, Zambales while the 23 teachers were absorbed by the company who are now involved in teaching primary, daycare, elementary and high school students in this town.
