OceanaGold in talks on copper, gold supply deal

DIDIPIO, Philippines, April 2 (Reuters) - Australian miner OceanaGold (OGC.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) (OGC.AX: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday it was in talks with Swiss firm Glencore [GLEN.UL] and other firms about supplying gold and copper concentrate from its northern Philippine project.
“There has been a great deal of interest,” Stephen Orr, Oceanagold’s chief executive officer, told investors and analysts visiting the Didipio copper and gold project around 270 km (168 miles) north of Manila.
