Gov’t okays Royalco gold mining in Bakun

THE Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) has permitted Royalco Philippines Inc., formerly Oxiana Philippines Inc., to conduct exploration of probable gold mining sites within the 986 hectares land site in Barangay Gambang, Bakun, Benguet.
This was disclosed by Ruben Quitoriano Sr., mining engineer of the Royalco Philippines Inc., saying the first year occupational fees of P73,950 has already been paid to the municipality of Bakun.
