Masbate Schools Receive Brand New Computers and Training from MGP

Four different schools in as many municipalities in Masbate Province were the recipients of a total of 12 brand new Lenovo K200 systems and Hewlett Packard 5610 Fax/Copy/Scan Printers. The faculty members of each school also received training in the use of Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.

The Masbate Gold Project (MGP) School I.T. Program has been implemented through the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of Filminera Resources Corporation (FRC), with funding from Haywood Securities of Canada and CGA Mining of Australia, and hardware and instruction provided by Imaginet International Inc, the I.T. provider for FRC. The Community Relations Department of FRC in tandem with the Diocese of Masbate identified the target schools, chosen mainly for their dedication to scholarship of needy but deserving students in their respective municipalities.

The recipient schools were the Liceo de Masbate in Masbate City, Liceo de Baleno in the Municipality of Baleno, Liceo de San Jose in the Municipality of Milagros, and the Immaculate Conception Academy in the Municipality of Balud.

The faculty members of each school were trained in the use of Windows Vista, Microsoft Word 2007, Microsoft Excel 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 for two whole days. Training was provided by Imaginet International Inc. who is the I.T. Consultant for Filminera Resources Corporation.
