Benguet mining to pursue reorganization program

MANILA, Philippines - Listed miner Benguet Corp. is looking at creating separate companies out of its mining ventures so it can better manage the projects and allow it to raise capital more easily.
Projects that might get restructured include the Sta. Cruz nickel project in Zambales and the gold recovery and processing project in Itogon, Benguet, President and Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Philip G. Romualdez told shareholders at the company’s annual meeting Wednesday.
