BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: One of the province’s tribal communities here, known for their headhunting rituals during the bygone days, had given their nod to a national government-backed exploration project within their ancestral land.

The Bugkalot tribesmen, together with other migrant residents of Yabbi village in Dupax del Sur town, endorsed the exploration project of the Buena Suerte Mining Corp., a subsidiary of Australian-owned Royalco Philippines, eventually paving the way for the operation of exploration activities in their village.
