DJ Philex Mining August Gold Output 8,760 Oz; Copper 1,201 Tons

MANILA, Sep 03, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) — PLXCF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating — Philex Mining Corp. (PX.PH), the Philippines’ most profitable gold and copper producer, said Thursday it produced in August 8,760 ounces of gold and 1,201 metric tons of copper.
Its gold output last month was valued at PHP408 million ($8.4 million), while the value of its copper was estimated at PHP381 million, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange.
