DJ Philippines May Soon OK 3 Foreign-Backed Mining Projs-Official

MANILA, Sep 16, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) — MBRTF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating — The Philippines is expected to soon approve three separate mining permits that will allow large-scale foreign mining operations in the country, a senior government official said Wednesday.
Horacio Ramos, director of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, said once Canada-based MBMI Resources Inc. (MBR.V) completes documentary requirements, the mining company’s application for financial and technical assistance agreement will be endorsed to the Office of the President for approval.
