DOE plans to offer more coal-development contracts for energy security

IN encouraging coal developers to participate in the exploration of coal resources, the Department of Energy (DOE) said it will offer more coal-development contracts to ensure adequate, sustainable and affordable source of energy.
Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes said the Philippines has a vast potential for coal resources and is just awaiting full exploration and development to contribute to the attainment of the country’s energy self-sufficiency program.
