MANILA, Sep 25, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) — PLXCF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating — Philex Mining Corp. (PX.PH), the Philippines’ most profitable miner, said Friday that it exported 8,645 ounces of gold and 1,164 metric tons of copper early this week.
The value of the shipment, extracted from 5,012 dry tons of copper concentrate, is estimated at PHP766 million, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange. Of the total, PHP408 million is for the gold, PHP351 million for the copper and the remaining PHP7 million is 9,169 ounces of silver.
