Mining firm eyes Malaya, Unified Leyte IPPA contracts

MANILA, Philippines - Listed firm Pacifica Inc. will bid for the management and operation of 2 other power projects aside from the 1,200-megawatt Ilijan combined power plant in Ilijan, Batangas.
In a disclosure to the stock exchange, the company said its board approved its planned participation in the sale of the independent power producer administrator (IPPA) contracts covering the Malaya thermal power plant in Pililla, Rizal and the Unified Leyte geothermal complex in Malitbog, Leyte and Tongonan, Ormoc City.
