Philippine Metals gets permits to explore Leyte mining sites

THE DEPARTMENT of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has granted two exploration permits to Canadian-led mining outfit Philippine Metals, Inc. for its Suhi tenements located in Leyte province.
In a statement yesterday, Philippine Metals said the DENR granted the permit on June 23 for two Suhi tenements covering 6,290 hectares, which are on top of the miner’s 9,896-hectare Taurus mining project.
