MRC Allied takes over gold mine in Surigao

MANILA, Philippines—MRC Allied Industries Inc., a holding firm owned by a group led by businessman Benjamin Bitanga and Lucio Tan Jr., has expanded its mining interest with a new deal that will allow the company to take over a 3,718.41-hectare gold and copper mining project in Surigao del Sur.
