Coalition for Responsible Mining in Mindanao holds seminar in Zamboanga Norte

DIPOLOG CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 14, 2011) – The Coalition for Responsible Mining in Mindanao has conducted Thursday a seminar on fundamentals of minerals development in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte province in the southern Philippines.
Various groups, from local government units to religious organizations, including the business sectors attended the seminar which aims to bridge the information gap between the mining industry and its stakeholders in Mindanao and to engender better understanding and cooperation between and among the industry players and other sectors in the community.
The official Philippine Information Agency said the seminar was supported by the University of the Philippines-Department of Mining, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Mines and Geosciences Bureau in Western Mindanao and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Mindanao.
