Gold miner OceanaGold is looking for further acquisitions in Australasia, where the company believes gold projects are undervalued.
OceanaGold is using its three New Zealand gold mines - Macraes mine and the neighbouring Frasers underground mine near Dunedin, and Reefton - producing about 300,000 ounces a year as its foundation to expand in the region.

OceanaGold Corporation Ltd has rejected claims made by Oxfam Australia that it pressured Filipino villagers to accept a proposed gold and copper mine, and said it is considering “legal redress”.
OceanaGold said it had received a copy of Oxfam’s report on its proposed Didipio Gold and Copper project in the Philippines on Friday.
