Shareholders of Rusina Mining, an Australian-based exploration company, have voted in favor of a merger with UK-based European Nickel, the two companies said Wednesday.
The companies said that an “overwhelming” majority of Rusina’s shareholders approved the arrangement at Wednesday’s court-ordered scheme meeting, a statement said.

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Perth-based nickel explorer Rusina Mining and its joint-venture (JV) partner, European Nickel, officially opened the Acoje nickel heap-leach trial pad and pilot plant on Luzon Island, in the Philippines.
This was the first pilot plant in the Philippines to trial heap leaching technology on nickel laterites.
