Filminera Resources Corporation

Filminera Resources Corporation, a gold mining company, has recently obtained the approval of the declaration of mining project feasibility for re-establishing the Masbate Gold operations at the town of Aroroy in the province of Masbate.  The mine was previously operated by Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation for fourteen (14) years, however, the operations closed down in 1994 due to adverse metal prices. 

The project development commenced October 2007 and full operation of the mine at the planned production rate of four (4) million tonnes per year is expected last quarter of 2008. The Masbate project will be the single largest gold producer in the Philippines.
